This POWERbot is amazing! It does exactly what you would want in a robot vacuum. It cleans my home and returns to the charging station and does it again the next day. I have little experience with robot vacuums but my friend does own a Roomba 980, and the difference in cleaning ability seems to be pretty big. The R7090 has so much more suction power it really picks up all the dirt in my house. I mostly have hardwood floors, and a few rugs and the POWERbot did great. The best feeling is walking barefoot on the floor after this baby runs, it’s magical. The self cleaning brush is the coolest thing ever breaks down hair, so I don’t have to go in and cut it off. The edge clean shutter thingy is just cool to watch. This unit also looks like it rides the wall to clean the edges which I love. I do use the app and Alexa to control the POWERbot, don’t really use the control. I did not have issues setting up either app or Alexa and I love saying “Alexa turn on POWERbot”.

This is for people more on the nerd side of the spectrum. I recommend buying an open box, new condition unit to save a hundred bucks or so. Many people will return this product, virtually unused, because it’s so hard to set up. For instance the WiFi. You must turn off any repeaters or suffer an obscure error message. Then you must detach your phone device from the router and connect to the vacuum as a router and access it’s web server. This allows you to tell the robot the credentials needed to access your WiFi router. Then you need to reconnect your phone device.
Review from 12-year + Roomba owner! Top 2 Bot brands!
on June 5, 2018
Powerful vacuum bot, not as low profile/short as Roomba though, Samsung Powerbot can’t go under my dishwasher edge, Roomba can. Roomba will cover entire room more efficiently and quickly with methodical tap and go movements. Powerbot does more of a random, shot in the dark type of cleaning pattern. Powerbot has much better dustbin. Powerbot has a clean dustbin dump, Roomba is a messy dust bin dump. PETS! I have 500 LBS. of dog. Roomba picks up lots of fur, Roomba requires you to cut fur off brush every 3-4 cleans, this is exhausting. Powerbot does not need you to remove fur from brush, It has a cutting mechanism built-in. Roomba has a spinning edge cleaner that works pretty well. Powerbot has a rubber blade that comes down then backs up, it works only ok. Roomba has a better edge clean system.
Doesn’t find the charging station

This is most useful in picking up the animal hair especially with 5 cats and 3 dogs. However, I still have to sweep afterwards to get the entryway edges. The most frustrating part about this is it doesn’t finish one room before moving to the next and it can NEVER find its base. Therefore it has to be picked up and carried to the base making it a hassle.

3 words LOVE. LOVE. LOVE this little guy. I have 2 boys 1 and 3 and also a 11mo old German wire hair pointer and this little guy does not stop cleaning and man I love it. My boys like to put things in it’s way all the time just to watch it go around it and keep cleaning. And the dog hair this thing picks up is just crazy I have a year old Oreck XL it was $900 and this little guy picks up better then it hands down. My 4 year old loves to so much that he nick named it Sammy because it says Samsung on top of it.
