These reviews have lost most of their relevance to me. I believe vendors are cutting their own throats by providing people free product for review purposes. I hope this review is more practical than most about this product.

A Great Little Robot that Really Sucks

The Roomba is pricey when compared to other vacuums, but does what other vacuums won’t do without my constant attention… vacuums. This little robot vacumms the house, even under the couch. From time-to-time I have to give him a hand, but he takes care of all the vacuuming. The app and WiFi connectivity makes setup quick and easy. The best part of the app and WiFi connectivity is the status notifications. The Roomba notifies me when it is stuck, has a problem, the bin is full, and even when it has successfully completed its assigned task. This is my second Roomba and still I am amazed with how much dirt and dust it picks up on a daily basis. This little robot runs for exactly an hour on a charge, and is a great purchase for those who don’t vacuum or don’t like to vacuum.
JUST GET IT! and if you can afford it, get the upgrade to 960 or 980!

I’ve been a bit of a skeptic about Roomba’s, they always seemed like an expensive toy, but actually getting one and using it, I can see what all the fuss is about.

Love it. I don’t have pets unless you count grandchildren. My carpets/floors were so bad that at first I had to empty the dust bin every 15 minutes or so and confine the cleaning to one room at a time. After a week I can turn the Roomba loose on all 2000 sq feet. I run it every 2 hours when I am home and I am still amazed at how much dirt it picks up. Like many people I thought I would get a Roomba to run while I was at work. I do not recommend this, you do need to be present to monitor. Everyone should own a Roomba.
A good product on it’s own, a great product with a bit of help.

I was surprised how well it works. I was skeptical over it’s ability to clean using batteries and small rubber brushes- but it has converted me. Our carpet is only a few years old; the first couple of uses the Roomba pulled tons of carpet fibers filling up the bin every few minutes. It has since been less frequent on the bin empties. It does a fantastic job of coming from different angles and going against the grain of the carpet, especially in tight spots like hallways.
