We get what we pay for I guess. I am troubleshooting mine. First I find it interesting that I can not register it at Black and Decker. I follow the directions the model number does not appear. I will call them over that. Mine worked twice and each time I hade to return it to the charging station. The light was always flashing even over night – that means charging. A clue to the issue. Since it then would not turn on after it stopped. A took out the battery and checked the voltage. It was about 3.5v. That seems really low. I then checked on the faceplate and the batter is suppose to be 14+ volts. Next I checked the AC Adapter and its 24 volts just like it is suppose to be. I plugged it into the vacumn directly and after an hour the battery internally read 16.5 v. I was able to turn it on. I then put the adaptor back into the station and checked it leads to the vacumn. I got 1/2 volt. I suspect that is the problem. I then put the adaptor back into the vacumn to finish charging. Monday I will call them asking for a new charger station.

It works fine otherwise – I may have to just order different …

I have 2 of these…. sometimes they charge, sometimes they dont. I’ve had mine about a year. You have to leave them on to charge -turning them off wont charge. Then after keeping on charger overnight they die within a minute – if I leave it on a week then they’ll hold longer. It works fine otherwise – I may have to just order different batteries or something. I was trying to avoid that option seeing they shouldn’t have had a problem right out of the box. Kinda regretting getting 2 of these. So for now I’l try to trouble shoot it – it works fine otherwise. its just the charging… I wound up throwing out the charging stations cuz they were useless. I just plug it directly into the unit – only way one of them will actually charge. Contacted customer service adn I got NADA. Its a shame a house hold name like black and decker and they dont respond.
